War Pigs









 Material: ipad

Idea: this piece is to correspond with the first piece (apes by the river bank), showing the anti-war idea. The reason why the warships are so close to the bank is because I want to show the dislocated feeling and sense of space between a dream and a reality. The messy and loose line-art also serve for this purpose.
Process: started with black and white sketch then added colors on top

 Material: watercolor, pen Idea: I want to show the relationship of true self and fake self using a difference in color, in which that the true self is locked in a mirror, although they are colorful, they do not have freedom, while the fake self that other people see in real life has no color, but is "free", though they have to rely strongly on the real self.  Material: ipad Process: outline the apples and colored, enlarged the apples on the left so that they look like they are in perspective while also differentiating the sizes Idea: a tangle of wires that are like fruit worms, or tree roots, which are spreading all round. The piles of apples represent the nature, the color choice is to show the unhealthy state of the fruits which is inspired by moldy fruits. The piece is suppose to show the pollution that technology has brought upon.
