2001: A Space Odyssey
 



Material: Procreate, iPad
Process: Using 2001: A Space Odyssey as reference, I created this piece by first drawing out the background with monotone colors to distinguish the foreground and background, then add on colors in order to emphasize the fire. And I used RGB curve to adjust the color.
Idea: I want to reflect a sense of dissonance through primitive ape man's skillful use if tools and fire, emphasizing the advance of technology. I used the canvas size to the 2.35:1 movie ratio to show that this is a fictional story, and the subsequent works will also adopt this ratio as if they were from the same movie.
